Neverland follows 18-year-old Sophia Smith; a dreamer with one simple wish – to grow up. Sophia's aspiration to grow up meets reality inside of a fairy-tale world, where trials and triumphs teach her that growing up is an unknown adventure and responsibilities shouldn’t be rushed. After all – growing up is the biggest adventure. A truth discovered amidst the exhilarating escapades that make up this exciting reimagine of the legend that is Peter Pan.
A C.A. Productions project 'Neverland' is a feature length fantasy drama scheduled to begin shooting later in 2025 with a release date early 2026. Possum House creatives are involved in co-writing screenplay and directing the shoot.
'The Artist' is a crime thriller with a twist. The themes and plot in this project definitely stray from your everyday crime drama story lines and we don't think anyone in the audience will walk away thinking they have seen that before.
This one definitely isn't inspired from true events, well, at least as far as we know!
Our writers here at Possum House are well into development of this screenplay and we will be looking for production partners late 2025. It is expected to have a running time of approx 120 minutes
'The Jungle' will be a feature length drama from the Vietnam War era. Based on real events and battles it will follow the fortunes of war that befall a unit caught in under prepared defences as they are attacked and overrun by a vastly superior force.
Awards for Valor earned by participants in the battle that inspires this movie were some of the highest given in the Vietnam War.
Possum House is still researching some of the lead up events and our writers are in the early stages of developing the screen play. It is expected to have a running time of approx 120 minutes
This is fast shaping up to be an internal favourite project for us.
'The Bush' will be 100 percent outback Australiana at it's true blue aussie best.
Location is going to be the key and we haven't decided on that yet but the characters you will see will be ones you have known all your life but never actually met in person, unless you live in a small outback town that is, in which case it might be you up on the screen.
That means we aren't sure yet if it will be a Doco, a Drama or a Comedy.
It is expected to have a running time of approx 100 minutes and if the screenplay writes itself, which it might well do, we can put the writers salaries we save over the bar at the local.
Very early days for us with this project. So much so we don't even have a working title yet.
We do have our one pager, well sort of, as it is a project that comes up more often over Friday Drinks than in the studio due to our other writing commitments but the seeds have been planted.
